O.K. Look, this may seem a bit odd. But it happened, an unmistakable change. All grabbed on for a while but soon found that the ride was not free. I came to this place, too. I came here to dance.

Now he had a big smile and a voice to match, backing a spit time that could fry you where you stand. Those near him worked us over with precision. Those near him had it down on film. We had to guess at the rules and could only wonder how long he had been at this, a generation before I began. I looked down at the spit and the sweat and up again, and that seems exciting to me now. I touched James Brown.
